Student Travel Fund
More exposure to the common research world will encourage a student to proceed to the next level of his/her study. HKSRA is pleased to provide the encouragement for students to connect with senior and peer research fellows by launching Student Travel Found project, which aims to provide financial assistance to students for presenting a paper in HKSRA organized conferences. The amount and number of the funds will hinge on the external sponsorship received. The funding will partially cover travel expenses for students.
Eligibility Criteria
–The applicant must be a student at the time of attending the conference
–The applicant must have an accepted paper at the conference and present it at the conference
–The applicant must register to the conference at the time of application
–This is one-time funding, if a student was awarded the funding in the past, he/she cannot apply for the funding again.
Application Procedure
Applicants should send an application to info@hksra.org two months before the conference date, the email is required to include:
–Application Form (the form is consist of 2 parts, the applicant should fill in part one, and the other part “ support letter " should be filled by the applicant’s supervisor)
–Student’s CV(time of enrollment and graduation, full name, contact information, country, and citizenship must be included)
–Payment voucher of your registration.
Submission Deadline
Applicants are required to submit their applications 45-30 days prior to the start date of the conference. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Notification
All applications will be fully assessed in a fair manner by the Grants Committee. Based on the application review, the grants will be prized to the most qualified students. The applicants will be notified of funding decisions in 15 days prior to the conference.
